THE GIFT

 

I lifted my soul to the sea,

     releasing it physically.

 

The response came quickly,

     "You are not ready.

    '"There's more to see.

So much more for you to be."

 

The sea returned my soul to me,

wrapped in the curl of a wave,

              joyously.
